Hey Family!
Ok, I don't have much time at all to write this week, since we're playing games with some other elders later today. We're always busy, that's for sure! I read everyone's emails, and I'll have to reply more specifically next week.
This week has been good and bad. Pretty much like every other day--it's an emotional roller coaster ride! My companion is slightly crazy, I think. Our personalities just don't match up well. I could complain about him forever, but I choose instead to look for the positives and stick it out. We can't exchange companions, but we'll get switched up in another couple months, I think. This is a good opportunity to learn how to deal with people I don't like that much, at least!
We had pizza this week, and surprisingly it was pretty good! I had pepperoni, of course, and it tasted just like American pizza. My companion got potato pizza, which was just like hot potato salad on bread. :D It was pretty good, though. Some of the other choices were sweet potato, steak, something that looked like hot dogs, "Mexican Bite Pizza", which had taco meat, corn, peppers, etc, and some other crazy pizza that had weird things on it. :D
I am so thankful for all of you, my family! I never really appreciated how much of a blessing everyone has been to me. We often don't appreciate things till we lose them. Luckily, I'm coming back eventually. :D Thank you for taking the time and effort to raise Austin and I in such a great way. I'll talk about this more next week.
This week, I was on a bus talking to a chemical engineer who spoke english. He wasn't interested in the gospel--he said he has no time, because of his job. He cares about his family a lot, and he said he has to work hard to pay for them. I thought that was really great. Anyway, he found out that his daughter and I are about the same age, and he said he would give the missionary number to his daughter if she was interested in me! I thought that was pretty funny. I even get the girls in Korea. :D
I think we're out of time. I anxiously await the recipies, thank you so much for sending them, Mom and Dad! Thanks for sharing your Air Force experiences with me too, Grandpa. I have to wait till next week to really read them in-depth, though. But I'm excited. Tell Austin good luck in the play and to break a leg! I love you all!
